THE FIX – Come fly with me . . .

By March 4, 2021May 11th, 2021No Comments

The Fix provides thousands of readers with three problem-solving fixes, allowing them to harvest the benefits of my 1 + 1 + 1 = 10x formula. With this formula, I hope to shift your focus from reactive to proactive and ultimately help you grow both personally and professionally. Enjoy!

Come fly with me . . .

If you’re anything like me, and like most entrepreneurs I know, you really miss world travel. The other day, I emailed my friend Carrie Wallace for the inside scoop on when and how travel restricts may loosen up. Carrie is the amazing founder of Cerulean World Travel, which creates custom experiential and luxury travel plans for super-sophisticated clients, among other things. Wasting no time, as is her style, Carrie sent me an incredibly detailed and thoughtful response. I got so much out of it that I couldn’t keep it to myself, so with Carrie’s permission, here’s her e-mail, in which she gives us the inside track on world travel in 2021 in the Age of Covid. Highlights include:

• Which countries are safer bets than others
• Testing, pre-registration and re-entry into the U.S.
• Safety in flights, airports and travel logistics
• Budget considerations
• Lots of other tips

So good . . . Enjoy!

The bad check blues . . .

What do you do when your customer writes you a bad check? Press criminal charges? Figure out how to comply with debt collection laws? Contact the customer’s bank? Send a demand letter? What should the letter say?

Our very own Max Julian answers these and other related questions here.

Geeking on grammar . . .

OK, I confess. I’m an obnoxious grammar geek. And, the “touch of OCD” that I apparently have (thank you, therapist!) makes it impossible to “move on” when I hear someone say “resignate” instead of “resonate”, or “risk-adverse” instead of “risk-averse” (you know who you are!). For the sake of mankind, therefore, it is my solemn duty to share with you 35 Words You’re Probably Getting Wrong. You’re welcome. : )
