Insurance: EPLI and Exclusions
If you have employees and don’t have EPLI insurance coverage, have a conversation with your insurance agent (or get another one, if yours didn’t advise you to get it). Also, no one ever reads their insurance policies until there’s a claim, and by then it’s often too late. I advise every client to glance at the exclusions in their policies so they know what won’t be covered, and so they can request a rider to try to get coverage for that exclusion if possible. I also advise them to have their business lawyer review their policy. Lawyers and agents see different things. Your business insurance policy can save you a ton of money when you need it.

History Facts
I have a confession. I’m a total history nerd.
I just finished reading Alaric the Goth: An Outsider’s History of the Fall Of Rome by Douglas Boin. Freaking fascinating. Some chilling comparisons to modern-day U.S. politics (e.g., beware the folks we treat as second class citizens; they will not stay quiet).
I’ve decided to read all of Barbara Tuchman’s books next, starting with the Distant Mirror, which is a really engrossing book about Medieval Europe.
On that note, here’s how the days of the week got their names.
