THE FIX – Time to Level Up

By March 11, 2021December 27th, 2022No Comments

THE FIX has been providing thousands of readers with three problem-solving fixes for a couple of months now and allowing them to harvest the benefits of my 1 + 1 + 1 = 10x formula. I hope this newsletter helps you shift your focus from reactive to proactive, and ultimately helps you grow both personally and professionally. Enjoy.

Time to Level Up . . .

I hate reinventing the wheel and I love crowd-sourcing my personal development and productivity. Here are a few recent examples from the greats that I come back to repeatedly:
• Bezos, Jobs, Musk, Branson and more: 6 Brilliant Productivity Hacks From 6 Brilliant Entrepreneurs (I have definitely stolen the 2-pizza rule!).
• Sitting down with a millionaire who operates 10 businesses while sailing around the world with his family.

Bullet. Dodged.

Two years ago, we performed a CoverMySix (CM6) audit for one of our clients, a tech company that, believe it or not), had minimal cyber-insurance coverage. We immediately contacted its insurance agent and worked on a new premium quote, which our client accepted. Literally, two months later, our client was hacked by a European ‘hacktivist’ in a data breach that threatened to bring down the entire company. Because of the new coverage, the insurance carrier was able to hire the best cybersecurity team in the country, and our client’s legal bills associated with the breach were also covered, across multiple law firms.

In another case, we represented a client whose insurance policy excluded coverage for damage to purchased goods while in transit. A simple policy rider could have been obtained for minimal cost. Without the rider, our client was denied coverage and was left on the hook for all legal fees and damages associated with the claim.

Moral of the story: have your attorney review your business policies with you. Small cost and high reward for doing it. High cost for not doing it.
